The Spilly Table is constructed using bent wire and plywood. The center spine creates a solid platform to hold cups, drinks, cutlery etc. while the trussed wire frame supports one’s plate. The ribbed design minimizes the materiality required of a table and creates an intimate interaction among guests. Spilly Table was made for the Table for the 2016 1200 Design Competition in Winnipeg Manitoba, ran by Storefront MB with Ben Greenwood and Marina Jansen.
